Behind the scenes at MB's Place
My name is Michael Brown and I’m the owner and chef of MB’s Place. Cooking has always been a passion of mine, and I knew I wanted to work in the food industry. I was born in San Francisco where I first learned to cook with my late grandmother. I moved to Pacifica when I was a pre-teen and cooked with my mother.
I now reside in San Carlos where I started my catering business. I recently decided out of nowhere to make some chili, and it came out beyond my expectations, so I entered a few chili competitions. I won 1st place at Palo Alto annual chili cook-off in 2019 and in every other cook off I entered. MB’s Place hands-down has the best 3 way chili and so much more.
